Unmuted Voices
In collaboration with The UNMUTE Project, the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature presents a morning dedicated to women’s stories of healing and growth, through collective storytelling.Step into a safe, creative space to explore your personal story, and connect with others through storytelling, reflection, and hands-on expression.This session will host powerful #bravenewvoices, women who speak with truth, courage, and heart.The UNMUTE session opens with a welcome by Mariana Missakian, founder of The UNMUTE Project, followed by the keynote, Symphony: The Sound of Community and Courage, delivered by Natasha Hatherall and the panel Rising Above the Noise, featuring Danabelle Gutierrez and Musata Matei exploring how voice, story, and community come together to inspire us to discover, share, and connect through our shared humanity.Take part in a live collaborative writing and illustration activity, then carry that shared energy into Pages of Power, a zine-making session with Habiba Tahir where what we create together becomes the first pages of your own story — a small manifestation of the book we hope you will one day write.Close the morning with reflections, coffee, and meaningful connections in a warm and supportive space, and leave with your story held, seen, and carried forward.#ITSTIMETOUNMUTE
