Aanchal Malhotra

Aanchal Malhotra is an oral historian and writer based in New Delhi. She has written extensively on the 1947 Partition and its related topics. Her first book, Remnants of a Separation, published internationally under the title, Remnants of Partition, won the Council for Museum Anthropology Book Award. Her second book, In The Language of Remembering, was published to critical acclaim and named one of History Today’s Best Books of 2022. Malhotra's latest work is a debut novel titled The Book of Everlasting Things, a historical fiction romance set around the 1947 Partition of India and Pakistan.
