Abdulwahab Alhammadi
Abdulwahab Alhammadi is a Kuwaiti writer, novelist, and researcher. His works of travel literature include Andalusian Paths, and his novels include Don’t Tell Your Dreams, which was longlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction, and No Victor Except Allah, which won the Kuwait State Encouragement Award. His novel The Year of the Fat Cats was also longlisted for the Katara Prize.
He has written a research book entitled Voices that Build Memory, which documents the testimonies of survivors of the Iraqi occupation. Alhammadi regularly publishes articles in Kuwaiti and Arab newspapers, and cultural magazines. He is also the founder of Bab Travel, a company specialising in cultural tourism.
