Alawiya Sobh
Alawiya Sobh is a Lebanese writer and novelist from Beirut. Her novels have been published by international publishing houses and translated into French, German, and Italian. Her works include Slumber of Days, Maryam Al-Hakaya (Maryam: Keeper of the Stories), It’s Called Passion, To Love Life, and Rejoice, My Heart.
She has received prestigious honours such as the Al-Owais Prize and the Sultan Qaboos Prize, and has been shortlisted twice for the Sheikh Zayed Book Award for her novels To Love Life and Rejoice, My Heart.
Her works constitute a significant contribution to contemporary Arabic literature.
