Amal Al Sahlawi

Amal AlSahlawi is an Emirati poet who studied Arabic literature at the University of Sharjah and writes freestyle and classical poetry. She is an active member of Untitled Chapters, an online platform for female writers, and has participated and performed in many events including a poetry reading in Hekayah at NYU Abu Dhabi and UAE University, Al Ain among others.

Amal tackles themes such as feminism, philosophy and existentialism through her poetry and is keen to address the anxieties of modern life.
