Ammar Mohamed Shams

Ammar Mohammed Shams is an academic interested in the intersectionality between Islamic law and gender rights. He has a Bachelor's degree in Economics, a Master's degree in Comparative Law, and his PhD thesis was based on research into the potential of gender parity in Islamic inheritance law in the UAE. He currently teaches Family Law at the British University in Dubai.
