Andy Stewart
Andy Stewart is a curator and creative producer specialising in large-scale literary and cultural programming. A Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, he has a decade of experience shaping and delivering major arts events across the UK, Europe, and the UAE, with a particular focus on storytelling, international engagement, and innovative audience experiences.
Stewart is Head of English Programming at the Emirates Literature Foundation and the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, where he guides the creative direction and curation of one of the world’s foremost literary festivals. Stewart also serves as a Trustee and Board Director of Visible Fictions, one of the UK’s leading creative production houses working across theatre, immersive art, and animation with a specific interest in creating work for young people.
Previously, Stewart was Producer at Wigtown Festival Company, overseeing five annual festivals in Scotland’s National Book Town and across Southern Scotland. Other career highlights include contributing to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, cultural placemaking initiatives across Europe, and affiliation with several of the UK's major and regional literary events, building a foundation in collaborative production, artistic vision, and impactful cultural development.
