Ashraf Fagih

Ashraf Fagih is a Saudi academic and novelist who was among the first in the Arabian Gulf region to venture into the science fiction genre. He writes short stories and historical novels and is well-known for his thought-provoking narratives.

He has given numerous lectures and workshops on creative writing, historical fiction and science fiction in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, the USA and China. He participated in the ninth iteration of The Symposium, a creative writing workshop for emerging Arab writers organized by the International Prize for Arabic Fiction with the support of the Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and the Arts through its Literature and Book Gallery initiative.
