Colm McLoughlin

Colm McLoughlin is the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free. He has been in the duty free industry for 54 years, previously as a consultancy member from Aer Rianta, the Irish Airport Authority, which was contracted by the Dubai Government to launch the new duty free operation in 1983. He remained in Dubai as General Manager of the new operation, later becoming Managing Director. In 2011, he was named Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Duty Free and its subsidiary businesses, which include The Irish Village, The Century Village, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium and Jumeirah Creekside Hotel.

McLoughlin has also raised Dubai's profile as a premium sports and leisure destination through the promotion of high-profile international events. This includes the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, patroned by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum since its inception in 1993.

A keen philanthropist, McLoughlin established the Dubai Duty Free Foundation in 2004 and since then has supported 59 local and 60 overseas charities with a particular emphasis on causes that directly benefit children.

He is married to Breeda and has three adult children and two grandchildren.
