Daivik Anand Datwani

Born and raised in Dubai, Daivik Anand Datwani is a driven 12-year-old boy studying at Dubai College. At age ten, Datwani wrote his first novel Farmer Fergus and the Mysterious Spectre, which took him about three weeks to write.

Datwani has always been a die-hard Lego fan and in 2021, he started a philanthropic initiative, Lego For All, where he aims to bring play to displaced children living in conflict zones. In the past two years, he sent many Lego sets and other classroom essentials to community schools across small towns and villages in Palestine, Kenya, Uganda and the Philippines, all generously donated by himself, his brother and classmates at school.

A strong advocate against single-use plastic, Datwani currently runs a school extracurricular called WASTEless centred on raising awareness on the importance of reducing waste, mostly working on food waste, plastic waste and e-waste. Datwani is extremely conscious of the environment and that Earth is the only planet we have. He also wishes for all proceeds of his book sales to go towards helping the children in Palestine.
