Dana Dajani

Dana Dajani is a Palestinian-American writer, performer and presenter renowned for her theatrical approach to performance poetry artfully exploring themes of feminine identity and social justice.


Dajani’s work with INGOs has supported critical initiatives focused on Palestine, clean water access, women's education and youth empowerment. As a dynamic speaker, she has delivered keynotes on empowerment through education, finding one's voice and women in conflict. Dajani co-founded the Spiral Sessions, a visionary 6-stage accelerator program committed to driving positive climate action and social welfare initiatives.


Having resided in the UAE from 2011 to 2019, Dajani received prestigious accolades such as Emirates Woman Artist of the Year award and the Young Arab Award for Entertainment, among other recognitions.


Dajani published her debut poetry collection, HeARTwood Poems, a lush collage of texture and poetic melody for every season of heart and feminine spirit. Forthcoming works in the pipeline are a guided journal Write Yourself and An Olive Branch, a collection of social justice poems.


She currently resides in Doha with her husband, Slovakian-Lebanese motion graphic artist Rami Kanso. Together, they have crafted a remarkable series of poetry films. Caged Bird notably received multiple awards during its global film festival tour.
