Eman Al Yousuf
Eman Al Yousuf is an Emirati writer. She is a chemical engineer and a certified graphology coach. She holds a Diploma in Cultural Diplomacy from Berlin and a Master’s degree in Knowledge Management from the American University in the Emirates.
Her work includes three novels: “The Window Which Saw,” “Guard of the Sun”—winner of the 2016 Emirates Novel Award—and “The Resurrection of Others,” in addition to several short‑story collections and the interview book “Bread and Ink.”
She wrote the short feminist film “Ghafa,” screened at the 2017 Dubai International Film Festival, and is the first Emirati woman selected for the University of Iowa’s International Writing Program.
Al Yousuf is active in cultural journalism and is a member of the Emirates Writers Union.
