Ezzat ELkamhawi
Ezzat Elkamhawi, an Egyptian novelist and journalist born in 1961, has written 20 books, including novels, short story collections, and texts across various literary genres. Several of his works have been translated into English, Chinese, and Italian.
His novel Beit Al-Deeb (The House of the Wolf) won the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature in 2012, while he received the Samir Kassir Award for Freedom of the Press in 2022.
He co-founded the newspaper Akhbar Al-Adab (Literary News), serving as its editor-in-chief, and later as editor-in-chief of the Qatari magazine Al-Doha.
Elkamhawi has written for numerous Arab newspapers and magazines, such as Al-Hayat and Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, and has conducted training workshops for journalists in Egypt, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia. He has also served as a judge for several journalism and literary awards.
