Hanin Omar
A poet, translator, screenwriter, and physician, she serves as Chairperson of ETA Media for Cultural Industries and works as a Business Development Consultant at MAP. She is also a member of the editorial board of Al-Qawafi magazine and engages in art and heritage criticism. She was listed among the Top 50 Arab Women in 2014 and among Leading Women in 2015 for her efforts in promoting intercultural dialogue. She is the first Arab poet to enter American cinema, and her poems have been composed by renowned artists such as Kazem Al Saher and Stevie Wonder. In media, she writes regular articles on culture and art and has served on judging panels for several awards, including the Sheikh Rashid Creativity Award and the Murex International Award. Her published works include When Angels Smile, The Secret of the Gypsies, The Gate of Heaven, The Devil’s Memory, Memoriam, and Farewell.
