Hasan Madan
Hasan Madan, a Bahraini writer and researcher, has served as Head of the Studies and Publishing Department at the Sharjah Cultural Department in the United Arab Emirates, and as Cultural Advisor to the National Culture and Heritage Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Madan has edited several cultural periodicals, including Arrafid and Derasat in the United Arab Emirates, and Al-Bahrain Al-Thaqafiyyah in Bahrain.
He has been writing newspaper articles for Al-Khaleej for thirty years, and has published several books, most notably The Pitfalls of a Changing World, Restoring Memory, Writing in Black Ink, Modernity on the Wall, and In Praise and Criticism of Things.
