Karimah Kim
A researcher and professor with a Ph.D. in Arabic Literature, specializing in Medieval Arabic prose and Arabic diaspora literature. She is a full-time researcher at the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), and lectures in the Department of Arabic and graduate programs. With extensive experience in literary translation, her notable works include The Miser by al-Jahiz, The Muqaddimah by Ibn Khaldun, and Maqamat by al-Hamadhani. She is a recipient of the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation and the Ibn Khaldun Prize in Humanities and Social Sciences, and has authored numerous academic studies.
