Khalid Al Jallaf
Khalid Al Jallaf is an Emirati calligrapher, visual artist, and researcher in Islamic arts. He is one of the leading contemporary figures in Arabic calligraphy and currently serves as President of the Emirates Association for Arabic Calligraphy and Islamic Ornamentation. Al Jallaf holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the United Arab Emirates University and has played a significant role in the institutional and artistic revival of Arabic calligraphy since the 1980s. He has participated in numerous regional and international exhibitions, contributed to specialized calligraphy publications, and delivered lectures and workshops in the UAE and abroad. His artistic vision is grounded in classical calligraphic principles, combined with a critically informed engagement with modernity.
