Levison Wood

Levison Wood is a British explorer, author and photographer, who has worked and travelled in over 100 countries and written 11 books, including Sunday Times bestsellers Walking the Nile and Walking the Americas, as well as his highly acclaimed latest book Escape From Kabul. He has produced seven landmark documentary series, which have aired around the world, including his most recent Channel 4 series Levison Wood: Walking With… in which he went in search of some of the world’s most endangered and elusive animals.

 

Wood is a major in the British Army having served in the Parachute Regiment for 13 years. He is an elected fellow of both the Royal Geographical Society and the Explorers Club, as well as an ambassador and patron for several charities including UNICEF. When not abroad, he lives in London.
