Lisa Thompson

Lisa Thompson is a children’s author who writes middle grade mysteries. Her debut novel, The Goldfish Boy, was published in 2017 and has been nominated for numerous awards including the Carnegie Medal, The Branford Boase Award and the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. Thompson has gone on to write more bestselling mystery novels, including The Light Jar, The Day I Was Erased, The Rollercoaster Boy and a spin-off novel to The Goldfish Boy, The Graveyard Riddle. Her novella, Owen and the Soldier, was shortlisted for the Blue Peter Book Awards.  

Thompson is a regular in schools and has appeared at numerous literary festivals in the UK and further afield, including Hay, Edinburgh and Cheltenham and Pordenonelegge Festival in Italy.

The Treasure Hunters is her new twisty mystery, brimming with hidden pirate treasure, unexpected friendships, mysterious mountains, heavy rucksacks and lots and lots of rain.
