Mariana Missakian
Mariana Missakian is a storyteller, author, TEDx speaker, doctoral candidate, and founder of The UNMUTE Project, a community initiative for collective storytelling that amplifies brave new voices.
She believes storytelling is how we make sense of who we are, how we show up in the world, and how we connect with others. Whether shaping corporate narratives, writing a best-selling book, or creating platforms for unfiltered voices, her work centres on the power of stories to connect, lead, and inspire.
A published scholar, Mariana holds an MBA and an MPhil, with research focusing on female leadership, diversity, and inclusion. She is currently a doctoral candidate researching mothers in leadership, shifting the narrative from mother-friendly to truly mother-inclusive workplaces.
Based in Dubai since 1998, Mariana continues her mission to reshape conversations around inclusion, leadership, and identity, one story at a time, guided by her belief that power is not a title, but a voice — and how we choose to use it.
