Maryam Lootah
Maryam Lootah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at United Arab Emirates University. She earned her Master’s degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University in 1987, focusing on “Gulf Security.” In 1991, she obtained her Ph.D. from the same faculty with a dissertation on “Political Stability in the United Arab Emirates.” She has published numerous studies on security, development, democratic transition, and political reform in the Arab world, as well as research addressing women’s issues and gender studies.
