Noura Al Noman
Noura Al Noman is an Emirati science‑fiction author and one of the pioneers of the genre in contemporary Arabic literature. She began her writing career with the picture books "Cotton the Kitten" and "Kiwi the Hedgehog" in 2010, before publishing her novel "Ajwan" in 2012, which won the 2013 Etisalat Award for Best Young Adult Book. She continued the series with "Mandaan" (2014) and "Sidonia" (2016). Al Noman holds a BA in English Literature and an MA in Translation from the American University of Sharjah. She also leads "Makhtoota 5229", a publishing house focused on science fiction and fantasy.
