Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy
Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy has held the position of UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation since 2008 and was responsible for Expo 2020 Dubai – the first World Expo ever held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region and widely considered one of the most unifying and ground-breaking international events of the century.
Her Excellency is now CEO of Expo City Dubai Authority, charged with overseeing the development of Expo City Dubai, the World Expo’s legacy city and is additionally responsible for managing the UAE Vice President’s Office of Political Affairs.
Her Excellency also chairs the National Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, serves as Chairperson of Dubai Cares, and is Chairperson of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.
Prior to her position as Minister of State, Her Excellency served as Deputy Chief of the UAE Embassy to the United States of America in Washington DC.
