Saud Alsanousi

Saud Alsanousi is a Kuwaiti novelist and the author of six novels, the most recent being the trilogy The Scrolls of Mud City. He has received numerous honours, including the Laila Al-Othman Award for Youth Creativity (2010), the Kuwait State Encouragement Award (2012), and the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (2013). Several of his works have also been longlisted and shortlisted for the Sheikh Zayed Book Award.


Named Cultural Personality of the Year at the 2016 Mohammed Al-Banki Award, Alsanousi’s novels have been translated into English, Italian, Turkish, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, and Indonesian, establishing him as one of Kuwait’s most prominent literary voices.
