Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi
Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi is an Emirati columnist, researcher, and commentator on social, political, and cultural affairs in the Arab Gulf States. He founded the Barjeel Art Foundation in 2010 to support the intellectual and creative development of the Arab art scene.
He has taught courses on ‘Politics of Modern Middle Eastern Art’ at prestigious institutions, including New York University, Yale, Georgetown, Boston College, the American University of Paris, Brandeis University, Harvard Kennedy School, Columbia University, and Bard College Berlin.
In 2023, he completed a Fellowship at Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, followed by a Research Associate role at the SOAS Middle East Institute, London, in 2024. He currently serves as an instructor at the American University of Sharjah.
