Toby Walsh

Toby Walsh is one of the world’s leading researchers in AI. He is a professor of AI at the University of New South Wales and chief scientist at its new AI institute, UNSW.ai. He has been elected a fellow of the Association for the Advancement of AI, won the prestigious Humboldt research award and most recently, won the 2023 Australian Museum Eureka Prize. He is the author of four books about AI – his latest is Faking It: Artificial Intelligence in a Human World, published in 2023.
